James Koerts has created a beautiful choral arrangement of the splendid hymn by Getty, Getty, and Townend. The piece begins by conveying a sense of awe at the birth of Jesus and moves to a feeling of agitation in contemplation of Jesus bearing the burden of our sins. The final verse is rich and full as it proclaims the hope that Jesus brings—God’s gift in love to the world.
