Music Florida 2009 Seminars

Wednesday January 7th , 2009 2:30pm – 4:00pm

Seminar 1 - Resolving Conflict by Manuel Garcia

If you are in the ministry, you will at some point in your career face opposition.  Sometimes the conflict will come as a result of your actions, words, personality or style of leadership. Sometimes the conflict will come to you even though you personally have done nothing to deserve the ill treatment.  But you will face opposition nonetheless.

Jesus said, “Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.”  (Matthew 5:11, KJV)
Avoid some of the “potholes” in relationships and ministry that I have experienced and endured through the years – many times at my own hands.

Techniques to make an ensemble sound better (guaranteed) and an approach that can change our direct effect on a listener. Specifically: ·      Create resonance and warm, focused tone with one exercise.   ·      A breathing exercise that will create an involuntary reflex for using the diaphragm. ·      Change – Easy Concept – Difficult to Do   Take a chance !!
